Our 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵 is wrapping up—and if you haven’t tasted it yet, now’s your chance.

This one’s 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 @𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗜𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗹𝘂, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗸 & 𝗲𝗴𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿. We grew up loving both, and this sandwich is where they meet—crispy marinated steak, silky loco moco gravy, and a runny, sunny egg on a soft sesame milk bun from @oyatsupanbakers.

To lighten and brighten things up, it’s topped with a crisp Spring salad of chrysanthemum greens, snap peas, celery and fresh herbs. Hints of pickled red ginger, sansho pepper and togarashi add spice and complexity, while a punchy yuzu-sesame dressing brings balance and freshness to every bite.

Also available gluten free as a salad—and benefitting @columbiariverkeeper, whose work protects the rivers and waterways we call home.

A new Chef Sundae lands this Thursday—a collaboration with @euzumeh’s 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗿, whose cooking draws from the bold, comforting flavors of her Jordanian roots, with a Pacific Northwest flair.

We’ve got two dreamy additions to our Springtime soft serve lineup, now available in the “Build Your Own” section of the menu:

𝑹𝑨𝑺𝑷𝑩𝑬𝑹𝑹𝒀 𝑴𝑨𝑮𝑰𝑪 𝑺𝑯𝑬𝑳𝑳 – we turned our favorite berry into a tart candy shell that crackles over cold soft serve like a sweet berry dream.

𝑷𝑰𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑪𝑯𝑰𝑶 𝑩𝑹𝑰𝑪𝑲𝑳𝑬 – our old-fashioned broken brittle got a nutty upgrade with buttery pistachio toffee and a drizzle of white and dark chocolate over salted cracker crumb for just the right crunch to level up any sundae.

Spring in the Columbia Gorge is something else…

The rivers are calm again, the trees are bright green, and wildflower hikes and waterfall adventures are officially in season. Our garden’s waking up, the sunshine’s hanging around longer, and the good vibes are flowing.

We’re so grateful for all of you who make the trip out here—whether it’s for a riverside lunch, a post-hike sundae, or just a little fresh air and some grab n’ go snacks.

This season feels like a reset, and we’re here for all of it. Excited to see you all at the drive-in soon. ✌️

The turnout for the 𝑹𝑶𝑩𝑰𝑵’𝑺 𝑵𝑬𝑺𝑻 has been absolutely wild—thank you so much for all the love! We’re truly grateful for the response to this Springtime sundae special, and we’re keeping it going through Monday, April 21.

We’ve had a lot of folks asking if we sell out daily... While it’s not typical for us to run out (we’ve got an incredible pastry team working nonstop to keep up with demand), this one has been flying. We’ve literally ordered all the kataifi in Portland to keep building those toasted nests—but there’s still a small chance we might sell out daily after 4pm.

We’ve been floored by the feedback on our Chefwich collab and wanted to give you a closer look at what makes this sandwich shine—from the steak to the sesame milk bun.

The steak is marinated in 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗷𝗶, handmade by our head fermenter @sourjackson with premium koshihikari rice, then coated in a gluten-free mix of mochiko, buttermilk, & our house 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝘂𝗯—featuring @goodcoffeepnw coffee, @landmasswines pinot noir powder, cocoa, wild mushroom, and classic BBQ spices.

The rich, savory gravy is gluten-free too, made with a mochiko roux, beef dashi, tamari, worcestershire, @portlandketchup, and shichimi togarashi.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗻—𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆, 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲—is crafted by @oyatsupanbakers in Beaverton. Hiro Horie and his team use a naturally cultured raisin yeast and long fermentation process rooted in traditional Japanese methods. Their breads are a fixture at Sugarpine, and we’re proud to feature their work in this special.

Available only at @lardopdx through April. A portion of proceeds supports @columbiariverkeeper and their mission to protect the waters we call home.

Spring in Catalonia means smoke in the air, fingers stained with romesco, and laughter around long tables—it’s Calçotada Season!

We’re channeling that joyful spirit with our new special: 𝑬𝑵𝑺𝑨𝑳𝑨𝑫𝑨 𝑪𝑨𝑳𝑪𝑶𝑻𝑨𝑫𝑨 — a tribute to the beloved Catalan tradition of celebrating Spring’s arrival with charred calçots, good wine, and even better company.

Ours brings the magic of the feast to a plate: grilled @groundworkorganics calçots, peppery @gatheringtogetherfarm mizuna, white bean and leek purée, pinot gris–plumped sultanas, blood orange supremes, pimentón-almond tuille, and a punchy salbitxada vinaigrette.

Best enjoyed with our Bridge City Bifana sandwich, a long pour of @sonofman.co Sagardo Cider, or a glass of @buonanottewines Mortadella.

Meet the “𝑩𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑮𝑬 𝑪𝑰𝑻𝒀 𝑩𝑰𝑭𝑨𝑵𝑨” — our take on Portugal’s iconic pork sandwich, with smoked + thinly sliced pork loin, simmered in white wine, garlic and paprika, layered with a roasted red pepper relish, mustard BBQ sauce, red cabbage-carrot and coriander slaw, and the most delicious piri piri aioli, all on a toasted @grandcentralbakery hoagie. It’s juicy, tangy, spicy, crunchy — basically, a flavor bomb.

This one’s inspired by the no-frills counter spots you’ll find in Portugal — bifana “palaces” packed with locals, cold beers, and steaming trays of saucy pork. The kind of places where you order fast, eat standing up, and leave full and happy. “Comida simples, sabor incrível” (simple food, incredible flavor). People will say “this sandwich isn’t a traditional bifana”. And they’d be right. But it’s so damn good!

It’s a wonderful Springtime wine, perfectly suited for a sunny picnic or a wildflower hike in the Columbia River Gorge.

At the heart of this wine is Jarad Hadi—a poet, farmer, and winemaker whose philosophy is that great wine starts in the vineyard. With a background honed in Bordeaux and hands-on experience at some of the world’s finest estates, Jarad practices organic and biodynamic farming on his North Plains property. His commitment to minimal intervention, from the careful hand-harvesting of grapes to nurturing biodiversity with the help of farm animals and carefully curated flora, allows the land’s true character to shine through in every bottle.
